Kodiak Bear & Wildlife Viewing Excursions

We adhere to a minimal-impact approach to observing bears and wildlife. All trips include at least one night at our out-camp in the heart of the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. From there we access bear viewing areas on foot.

We hike in a spectacular area where bears are not habituated to human presence and feel it's vital to the health of the population that bears maintain their natural behaviors. This means walking as unobtrusively as possible through Kodiak bear country and showing great respect for local wildlife. Hikers should be reasonably fit and equipped for Kodiak weather.
